Championing Anti-Racism: Empowerment and Action (in-person)
A practical anti-racist workshop presented by Voscur and Stand Against Racism and Inequality (SARI).
This session will be delivered by Temba Mahari from Stand Against Racism & Inequality (SARI).
What will you learn?
- Using workplace scenarios and cultural reference points this practical 3 hr training will build participants anti-racist practices in the workplace, and our daily lives. Themes include:
- Understanding the Equalities Act 2010 legislation
- The difference between jokes and micro-aggressions
- How to be an active bystander
- Creating an inclusive work environment.
Why is this session relevant or important now?
This course supports the growth of being non-racist to being ‘anti-racist’, giving participants the tools to address racism and prejudice in the workplace, effectively.
