This session will provide a basic overview for anyone new to health and safety or those who want to refresh their understanding of their duties.

What is this course about?

This session will explain the basics of health and safety, then take you through the practical steps of carrying out a risk assessment for your community group activities.

  • Why is it important? 
  • What are the basics of risk assessment? 
  • Identifying some potential or real risks in a situation and completing a risk assessment.

What else do you need to know?

This course is set to run online using Zoom. To take part, you will need a laptop with a camera, microphone, and Wi-Fi. You will not require any additional software, and you don't need a Zoom account or to download the app to take part, but you may wish to do so.

You will be emailed an invitation with a link to join the online training the day before the course.
