Community centres, sports clubs and creative venues are the heartbeat of local communities. This workshop offers an introduction to groups who are thinking of taking on your own building or asset.

What is this session about?

An introduction to the key things to be aware of for community groups thinking about taking on their own building or asset. 

What will this session cover?

  • Introduction to asset development 

  • How to develop the strategic and management case 

  • Financial planning and fundraising 

  • Other considerations for managing an asset, including environment and equality, diversity and inclusion 

Who is the session for?

VCSE and community groups considering taking on their own building or asset, or who have recently taken on the management of a building or asset.

This workshop has been funded by Bristol City Council and is free to attend.

This session is being led by Tim Temple from Locality. 

Locality is a national membership network supporting local community organisations to be strong and successful.
